Three Fast Writing Techniques Anyone can Use

Create a List of Ten to 20 Keywords

Start by creating a list of keywords. Normally this is done when writing Web content, but you can also use this technique in other forms of writing. Creating lists of key words will jump start your ideas.

Create a list of ten to 20 keywords, or even more if you can think of them. This is a way of priming your brain. Write the words quickly, without thinking about it too much. Often a word which seems unrelated to your topic will start a train of thought which gives you several great creative ideas.

The key to making money writing is to WRITE FAST. I've received several questions about this, and the above article will help.

If you want to quit your day job to focus on your writing, I recommend my write more class -- you'll learn all my secrets. :-)

Malcolm Gladwell and Free: do YOU want to write for free?

If you can afford to pay someone to get other people to write, why can’t you pay people to write? It would be nice to know, as well, just how a business goes about reorganizing itself around getting people to work for “non-monetary rewards.” Does he mean that the New York Times should be staffed by volunteers, like Meals on Wheels? Anderson’s reference to people who “prefer to buy their music online” carries the faint suggestion that refraining from theft should be considered a mere preference.

Read Malcolm Gladwell's review -- it's fascinating.

However, if you're a writer, don't let the "free" baloney worry you. Writing isn't just writing: it's thinking, ideas, creation and much more.
